Hey Marissa, I like how you linked Ayurveda with the metabolism topics we’ve been touching upon in class. The study you included is awesome! It’s fun to hear about different practices around the world and how they work with different people. I believe part of Ayurveda (and the part we didn’t really research much on) is the spiritual, believing part that allows impossible things to be possible. Because the body is connected in the ways that it is, healing an illness helps when the mind is healed as well. I think that has an influence in the study you included. I don’t necessarily know if diabetes was cured for the people they treated, but I believe their approach in using natural remedies helped.
