I like the idea you used for your research, and I actually talked a bit in my presentation about the mental effects of cancer as well. Your discussion on comorbidity was very interesting, and I had no idea how prevalent this was in patients. Overall, I thought you did a great job at explaining how mental health is impacted during all the steps of cancer by relating individual's experiences.
I think that the effects of mental health on overall health is a really underrated area of study, especially in patients with particularly debilitating diseases like cancers. Hopefully talking about it will decrease the stigma about it so we can all lead better lives and empathize with each other's challenges better. One thing I am curious about is if there's any research done on this in terminally ill patients that you might have included in the presentation. Otherwise, I really enjoyed it!
